Dean Dwyer is a “45 year old dude” with a degree in Physical and Health Education who started the blog Being Primal in May of this year.
Over the years, Dean became frustrated with the weight loss industry and the glut of contradictory information it presented, as well as his 25 year struggle with excess body fat. Being about 40lbs overweight at the age of 20, he spent the last 18 years hitting the gym and eating a vegetarian diet. But he still couldn’t get rid of his flabby midsection.
Last November, he threw out everything that he knew about weight loss and exercising and started rebuilding his personal program from ground zero.
Dean stumbled across Mark Sisson’s site, Mark’s Daily Apple. He started poking around the 1000′s of articles and came across one that really altered his destiny called “How to succeed with the primal blueprint.” He quite literally ended his vegetarian ways that night and the next day started implementing ideas about primal eating along with the other aspects of his philosophy.
A week or so back, had his one-year anniversary of change. He’s happy to report that he’s 40 less pounds than last year at this time.
“For the first time in my life, I know what I am doing is working. I have never had this kind of certainty in this area or any other in my life for that matter. I have finally found something that works for me.”
