Cooking oil

I’m used to using canola oil for frying stuff and olive oil for dressing. Have you guys found any good primal options? Any thoughts on using bacon grease?

There’s two awesome Primal options for cooking oil: Coconut Oil and Ghee. I use an organic coconut oil brand called Nutiva that I picked up at Whole Foods. Ghee is a clarified butter that’s made by cooking out all the milk solids and impurities from butter. They also sell this at Whole Foods and Indian Markets, but the best is to find a source of grassfed ghee. It tastes delicious.

  3. Scott, that’s interesting. I had never heard of Ghee. Do you get it from that website?

No, I got some from an indian store near me, but that website looks like a good (but expensive) source.

Or you could just fry without an oil. Trick is to have the pan on high heat and constantly be moving the food around.
