My first paleo dinner!

My first paleo dinner

Steak, mushrooms, grapes, broccoli, asparagus, pears, a small piece of beef jerky and a banana as an appetizer!  All served with some good old fashioned water.

So I have made it through my first day of “eating paleo” and honestly it wasn’t that hard. It is very simple to know what to eat and what not to eat.  I spent no more time cooking my food than usual.  And now I am going to attempt and go to sleep before 10:30pm for the first time in 3 years!  Also, I feel terrific, and don’t feel hungry either.  Lunch was the hardest, but I decided to take smaller bites and cut my food into smaller pieces.  That way it takes longer to eat.  It seemed to work!

Will update more tomorrow.

Looks great Scotty D! How did it taste?

    • scheistydork says:

It tasted wonderful! I took my time to cook it and it felt good to not have any bread or pasta. I didn’t feel full but I wasn’t hungry. Taking smaller bites is key to this.

Nice going Scotty-D and welcome aboard the Paleo Train!

  3. Scott Ewing says:

Now I’m gonna have to go out and buy a ribeye!

  4. scottdworkin says:

the paleo train is a coming! The ribeye was half off, and it was fantastic… I grill it in a wok pan, and don’t add any flavor to it, the trick is putting the mushrooms on top (and onions if you have) to add supreme flavor kicks (all natural of course!)

Congrats on the first day! I’m with Bob, time for a Ribeye!
